Downaro is an online video downloader for public social links. The homepage accepts any supported host. You paste a URL. The server checks the protocol and the host, then looks for media that page already advertised to a logged-out visitor. Nothing is written to disk until you choose a file.

The broader query “video downloader” is the same product. We do not create /video-downloader. Platform pages exist when the URL shape or the failure mode is different — Reels versus Watch, DASH audio on Reddit, player file versus TikTok’s official Save — not to repeat this tool under a swapped keyword.

It is meant for creators backing up their own posts, teams saving assets they already have rights to, and anyone storing a public clip they were told they could keep offline.

After the file lands

What can I paste into Downaro?

A public Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Pinterest, Reddit, or YouTube link that still opens when you are logged out. Do not paste private accounts, paywalled videos, or anything you are not allowed to save.

Why did Downaro refuse a link that plays in the app?

Apps stay signed in. Downaro only reads what a platform exposes to a logged-out request. If the site asks for a login, the file is not available here.

Do I need an account or a mobile app?

No. Downaro runs in the browser. We will never ask for an Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or X password.

Where does the file go on iPhone?

Safari usually saves it in the Files app, not Photos. Use Share → Save Video. The iPhone guide on this site walks through that path.

Is this a different product from the platform pages?

No. The homepage accepts any supported public host. Instagram, TikTok, and the others exist to teach that host’s URL. There is no /video-downloader clone.
