Pinterest video downloader for public pins
This Pinterest video downloader is for one public pin — video, GIF, or still. pin.it short links are welcome. Boards are not.

One pin, not a board
Open the pin → share → copy the link. A board is a list of pins. A profile is a list of boards. Neither is a media file. Paste one pin at a time. We will not walk a board for you.
On the iOS or Android app the share sheet is the reliable path. On a desktop browser, open the pin in its own page and copy the address bar. A search result, a close-up crop, or a related-pins rail is not the pin.
If you expected a video and got a JPEG, the pin was a photo. Downaro will not invent motion.
What pin.it is
The share sheet often copies a short pin.it URL. That is still one Pinterest pin. Downaro expands it only onto Pinterest hosts, then looks for the public video or image the pin already advertised.
If the short link has expired or Pinterest answers with a login wall, there is no public file to list. Try the full pinterest.com/pin/… address from a logged-out window before assuming the tool failed.
Video, Idea Pins, and stills
A “Pinterest video downloader” search usually means a recipe or DIY Idea Pin. Those pins can be video, a GIF, or a still. You get the public file the pin published: an MP4 for motion, or the original JPG, PNG, WEBP, or GIF for a picture.
Idea Pins sometimes publish more than one slide. When Pinterest advertised several public images, each file is listed. A cover frame is not a substitute for a video that was never published.
What we will not crawl
Shopping modules, login-only pins, and boards stay out of scope. If Pinterest asks a logged-out browser to sign in, we stop. Story-style pins that only play inside a signed-in session have the same limit.
On iPhone
Safari keeps the download in Files. Use the Photos guide for the camera roll.

Questions people actually ask
Does pin.it work?
Yes. Downaro expands short links only onto Pinterest hosts, then looks for a public video or image file.
Can I save Pinterest images?
Yes. Image pins return the original JPG, PNG, WEBP, or GIF that Pinterest advertised on the public pin.
Why did I get a photo instead of a video?
The pin was a still image. Downaro will not invent an MP4 for a photo pin.
Can I paste a Pinterest board?
No. A board is a list of pins. Copy one pin — the full pinterest.com/pin/ address or a pin.it short link.
