Downaro

YouTube video downloader for public videos and Shorts

Paste a public youtube.com or youtu.be link. Downaro returns the prepared muxed MP4s and MP3 audio files for that video.

Only use links you own or have permission to download. Private, paid, and login-walled posts will be refused.

What this YouTube video downloader lists

You paste a public watch URL. Downaro lists every muxed MP4 and MP3 the public helper already prepared for that video. It does not remux an arbitrary stream on this host, and it does not bypass DRM, a paywall, or an age check. The shorter query “youtube downloader” is the same page.

If YouTube asks for a sign-in or an age confirmation, the file is not public here. We will not invent a quality list to look complete.

Copy the video, not the channel

In the app: Share → Copy link. In a browser: copy the address bar on the watch page. Short youtu.be links work. Channel URLs, playlists, and search pages are out of scope. Live streams are refused until YouTube publishes a finished public replay.

Shorts

A YouTube Shorts downloader search stays here. A Short is a public YouTube video. Paste the Shorts page or the youtu.be link. There is no extra URL and no second product.

Qualities and MP3

Typical listings run from 144p through 1080p when those muxed files were prepared, plus audio at 48 / 128 / 256 kbps. Unprepared qualities are not shown. We do not upsample.

Private, members-only, age gates

Private videos, members-only uploads, and age-gated watches fail on purpose. Some hosts refuse YouTube from a datacenter. When that happens the page says so with a reason, not a fake Download.

On iPhone

Safari drops the MP4 in Files. The iPhone guide moves it to Photos.

Questions people actually ask

Which YouTube links work?

Public watch, Shorts, finished live replays, and youtu.be links. Channels, playlists, and search pages do not.

Is there a separate YouTube Shorts downloader?

No. A Short is a public YouTube video. Paste the Shorts or youtu.be link on this page.

Which qualities are listed?

Every muxed MP4 and MP3 prepared for that video — typically 144p through 1080p, plus 48 / 128 / 256 kbps audio. Unprepared qualities are not listed.

Do private or age-restricted videos work?

No. If YouTube asks for a sign-in or an age check, the file is not public here.

Each host has its own page. These are the other tools, not copies of this one.
