Save public videos from X

Paste a public x.com or twitter.com post that includes video. Protected accounts and text-only tweets have nothing to save.

Only use links you own or have permission to download. Private, paid, and login-walled posts will be refused.

Copy the post, not a search page

Open the post → share → copy link, or copy the address bar. Both x.com/user/status/… and the older twitter.com shape are accepted.

Profile URLs, Communities tabs, and moments pages are not video posts.

When X has no file

A post can contain a thumbnail and still refuse a public file. Downaro will not invent an MP4 for a text tweet, a private account, or a media card that only plays inside a logged-in session.

Some animated posts are GIFs. If a public file is advertised, it will be listed; if not, you will get a clear unavailable state.

X and Twitter marks belong to their owner. Downaro is independent.

Do both x.com and twitter.com work?

Yes. Paste the public post. Text-only posts and protected accounts will be refused.

What about GIFs?

If X advertises a public media file, Downaro can list it. Not every animated post is a downloadable video.
